Xbox formats will get their own Battlefield: Hardline beta before release

Battlefield Hardline is currently in beta testing on PS4 and PC, but DICE general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson has confirmed that Xbox formats will get their own testing phase that will be different to what's on offer right now.

This morning we posted a video by a YouTuber who managed to find and use hidden weapons found within the Battlefield: Hardline beta code, as well as audio files that revealed map names, modes and more.

Now, speaking with OXM, Troedsson said, "We will have a beta on all platforms before release. But it won't be this beta on Xbox. It's not going to be the same version, just to be clear."

On the nature of these early access beta tests, Troedsson said last week, "We basically have code in the hands of players already, here at E3. We've never done that before. We do it both because we want their feedback of course, but also because in the background we are testing various things. We're going to continue doing more tests like this."
