Nintendo’s freshly-announced Mario Kart 8 Wii U premium console bundle is already discounted at UK retailer Tesco. If you get in quick you can use a promo code to get more money off.

It follows Nintendo’s massive new Mario Kart 8 reveal yesterday, which includes videos of new racers, Mario Kart TV, new items and much more.

Nintendo Life has spotted that Tesco is selling the Mario Kart 8 console bundle for £219.

If you pre-order it before May 5, you can enter the promo code TDX-JGCV to get another £20 off the price.

The offer also includes Nintendo’s free game incentive, which gives you a download code for one of the following ten games, absolutely free of charge:

Not too shabby eh?

You can get details on how to claim the free game here.

    That’s a sweet pricing spot right there. If consumers don’t go for that I think it’s fair to say that pricing isn’t the issue.

    @Joe Musashi – Spot on.

    Pre-ordering with another £20 off and a free retail game also is a superb deal and one worth jumping on imo.

    I *know* it would never have happened, but imagine if this had been the price and game available at launch.. The WiiU’s fortunes might be very different.

    Things could have been so much different if the console was closer to the price of the original Wii machine. This is the best deal I’ve seen so far from Nintendo for a console that is fast becoming worth the entry fee for sweet games.

    Mario Kart 8 is my most wanted game this year, me and my friends even have a beer and MK8 tournament ready for launch day.

    This is a very good deal, but i believe the effect of this bundle will be in the end of the year. But i do hope it will entice gamers, right now the wiiu has a good list of games for almost every avid gamer.
