Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land, which releases in Japan in February, has some new screenshots available which you can have a gawp at over on Silisconera. The game takes place in a town called Oaktree Town where NPCs such as Madam Elise, Fritz, the elderly Edda live. Other farmers in town include a tutorial character, and each farmer has its own personality. The game includes the StreetPass feature and at present is 80% finished. No word on when or if it will head west just yet.

    Guys, what’s Harvest Moon?

I mean people tell me I’m practically not a gamer for never having played it, but is it just like an RPG that lets you farm, or is it a farming game that lets you RPG? What’s going on there?

That’s pretty interesting as well, although I guess it’s like a clone or some such?

@1 It’s like an RPG sim really, and people telling you you’re ‘not a gamer’ for not playing it is just silly. I have never played the Mass Effect series. Does that mean I’m not a “gamer”? It just didn’t interest me to be honest. I just opened myself up to ridicule, didn’t I? Shit.
