Harvest Moon: Linking the New World announced for a February release in Japan

Harvest Moon: Linking the New World has been announced in the latest Weekly Famitsu for Japan.

In it, the player is a farmer in Oaktree Town where NPCs such as Madam Elise, Fritz, the elderly Edda live. Other farmers in town include a tutorial character, and each farmer has its own personality.

Male or female farmers will do field work, which is apparently easier than before, and as the player progresses through the story they will become a caretaker of animals after entering a safari. Connections with wild animals are drawn, and there are two times as many wild animals as in with the previous title.

Fishing is an option and marriage candidates shown in the magazine were Ririe and Lega. Countries with which you can trade with will increase as well as the ability ti ship goods and other items.

The game includes the StreetPass feature and at present is 80% finished.

Harvest Moon: Linking the New World is out in Japan in February for 5,040 yen.
