Killzone: Shadow Fall PS4 bundle spotted on Amazon, costs €499.99

Friday, 30th August 2013 10:03 GMT By Dave Cook

Killzone: Shadow Fall is getting a PS4 bundle, together with a pair of DualShock 4 controllers and PlayStation Camera, as outed by a retail listing on Amazon France.

You can find the bundle here. There’s currently no work on a UK release at the time of writing. We’ll update once we hear more.

This is a great bundle. About £430 based on current rate which would be amazing. Not surprised wither, pretty said this yesterday but thought it would happen locally at store but it seems Sony sees the benefit of the XB1 high price too.

“What I mean is most retailers are going to offer a price equivalent bundle which will probably run in close to the same price as the XB1.

    PS4/pad/game = £430-440.

If your store isn’t doing that I would be surprised. Every store is going to play on the XB1 price to upsell more games and accessories for the PS4, they would be stupid not too.”

I want this but without a camera.

I don’t need PS Eye sh… stuff. Because it is the waste of my time, money and effort. Same goes to kinect.

  4. viralshag

@3, While that might be true you’re still getting it for “free”. The pad, game and camera would be something like £150 separately.

So one positive is you’re not really paying for it.

I just cancelled my PS4 pre-order… this bundle would be very tempting to throw me back over.

@viral, come back to the dark side, get that ps4 back on preorder.

@KC, I’d only do it for a bundle like this tbh.

I’m being strict with myself this gen and only getting one console. As much as I love gaming I can’t justify spending that much (at launch anyway) when I also have a pretty decent PC.

At the end of the day Titanfall is one of my most anticipated games BUT that is coming to the PC so I could survive, I would miss FIFA on it though but then I was originally more of a PS3 FIFA player anyway.

    Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!! ( )

Was literally chatting to a mate that other day about hoping for a bundle just such as this. I’ve pre-ordered Killzone and the Camera already so getting an extra controller would just be a nice freebie.

Although anyone else feeling that second controllers are becoming increasingly irrelevant? I played some split-screen co-op Splinter Cell: Blacklist the other day (which was cool) but that’s been the first time I’ve actually had a use for a second controller in months; everything’s pretty much transitioned to online nowadays.

@2 You don’t understand how business works. If we are selling well a product without competition like PS4 in my country, we don’t need to loose money in a bundle. We only do bundles to boost sales.

And right now we don’t need.

On topic. This is an amazing bundle/price an extra DS4 and a game and that piece of sh*t.

PS: I really HATE this cameras, since f**ing Eyetoy.

EDIT: I wish i can have a bundle like this in my country.

@8, The only time another pad has ever come in handy for me is when we need them for a pre-dinking FIFA sesh or if I want to have a dedicated pad for my PC and one for my 360.

Outside of those situations I rarely play local two player.

@9, That’s great… in YOUR country. As we can see by the bundle above in most other places it seems to be exactly as I stated. So I’m really not sure what your point is?

  11. TF_PtMaster

@8 well i liked what i’ve seen in Knack, playing with another person in the same TV can be a gorgeous experience.

@6, I’m just worried it won’t be guaranteed for release day if I cancel my preorder and get the bundle.

Like yourself I’m really looking forward to Titanfall but it’s on PC and I’m more than happy to play it there. The reason I’m leaning to ps4 this time is Infamous, prospect of ND games and the extra hardware grunt/lower price. Besides I play a lot of multiplatform games anyway and don’t really care for non-essential dlc.

Edit: Also not too fussed about the 2nd controller, really wanna buy a red one, but for 55 quid?! I think I’ll wait. Had a blue ps3 one most of this gen from an infamous 2 bundle, much nicer.

the last time i played local multiplayer with 2 pads was when gears of War 3 came out…

@12, If they bring this to the UK I’m wondering the same thing. Because it would suck if you have pre-ordered the normal console late and can’t get it on launch but you could get this bundle at launch if you pre-order when it becomes available.

I’m also wondering if retailers will offer existing pre-orders the option of upgrading to this pack. I checked my XB1 pre-order and that seems to get updated automatically with the inclusion of the new stuff like FIFA, headset etc, so I’m confident there won’t be any hiccups on that side.

  15. Fin

Yeah don’t cancel a preorder you have – any preorder placed from like Aug 15 (or earlier, I can’t remember) isn’t guaranteed for launch.
I imagine this bundle is still part of the overall stock, like people preordering it won’t automatically get it at launch.

If this does come to the UK, Amazon will allow you to change your preorder to the new bundle.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one a little bit ‘meh’ about second controllers, though y’all also make some good counter-points. Long time since I lived in a shared house (me and 2 other guys) but we had hours of good times playing local FIFA grudge matches…I guess for Sports games it’s probably still the most fun way to play PvP and co-op.

Also hoping the fact the Camera’s bundled with Killzone here means that there’s some added motion/voice command functionality built into it…not much else has been hyped for Eyecamera other than Playroom. I’m convinved I saw a ‘video chat’ box in the top-right hand corner of the Killzone section of Sony’s show at Gamescon. Seeing as well as hearing my clanmates in MP games could be good for the lulz.

Nice bundle i wonder if it will still be available well after launch. Because i ain’t getting into next gen just yet.

@12 I’m not sure about elsewhere, but I looked into swapping my Console-only PS4 pre-order (placed pre-E3) with the Killzone/Driveclub bundle at Game after having already put my deposit down. The dude there said that they basically just alter your particular pre-order (somehow) and that I’d still be secured a place in the first wave allotment. Hope that helps, but it’s probably still best to double-check with your retailer.

I dont even know if ds3 is compatible with ps4?
I always buy an extra controller. Its a musthave for me.

  20. VibraniumSpork

The icing on the cake would be for this to also include the Vertical Stand. Can’t believe this is going on sale for an extra £16 ( )!

Well, I mean, I kinda can…it *is* Sony. Still, nearly every publicity shot you see of the unit shows it vertical, and it won’t fit pretty in my set-up if it isn’t standing. Come on Sony – if MS can backtrack and include a free headset, surely you can throw in an even cheaper piece of plastic?

  21. Djoenz

For the ps3 this one was only 9 bucks for me and the led light kicks ass. You cant have it all though.

@20, I’m hoping this pushes MS to include a second pad in their Day One bundle! :D

Anyone else spot the women on the box art? Does that mean the lead character in this could be a women!?

If so, that’s great. We need more female protagonists in the industry!

  24. wildBoar

The camera is gonna justify it’s existance the minute Media Molecule finally gets something out the gate, might as well get it right away. And you know guys, also you never know when you’re gonna get a hot un in your apartment, LBP is the ultimate seduction.

  25. Lengendaryboss

I hate to disappoint you but the lead character is a man and the woman is his equal on the helghast side.

That’s a great value bundle – would be tempted to switch up my pre-order if this came to the UK and I could without losing my launch day guarantee. I was thinking of passing on KZ:SF but more recent vids, particularly MP and the switch to 60fps for the MP are swaying me a bit. Will need an extra controller at some point so extra £80 for game and controller + the camera … tempting.

still having both on preorder, still not feeling any excitement for the launch. nothing on the gamesside really gets me, nothing tempting, promising…i might spend all that cash for the wiiu and 3ds /fall/winter/spring line up instead and then look what happens to x1 and ps4 in their first year and decide which one to get later…i am having trouble to make a decission anyway right now. they both look extremely unattractive and meh to me.
i feel like the industry focuses too much on the teen and twen crowd. it must change. western world is getting older. they must react to that if they want to keep selling their machines and games.

@26, didn’t realise that Shadowfall MP was 60 fps, suddenly very interested in it, great move by Guerilla.

Yep they’ve not really been shouting it from the rooftops. SP remains bells and whistles 30fps, MP is 60fps.

If you are deciding based on launch games, then I suggest you wait for a few months. We already have a good idea about 15 xbox first party exclusives and they already have announced a 2014 holiday halo.

But Sony has been saving up ammo for the long term. I am pretty confident that there will be exclusive PS4 announcements all year long, starting at VGAs. They have been pretty consistently (on time) delivered exclusives on PS3, so 20 exclusives in 1st year sounds good.
In other words, MS has blown up their entire load, while Sony is saving almost all of it (most 1st party studios haven’t even announced their projects) imo.

One more thing, 3rd party versions may well look better on PS4. We haven’t seen many multiplatform games on X1 alongside PS4 haven’t we? Even EA with their exclusive MS partnership decided to show BF4 on PS4 and not X1. Smells fishy.

Great bundle too. Sitting next to X1 bundle on store shelves, it can have a BIG impact.

Hope so Dragon they need to seriously convince me to go next gen or I will stick to current gen.

ND and SE Im looking at you 2.

    #35 1 year ago
  36. viralshag

@Dragon, I’m more of a fan of the XB1/MS/360 games than I am of the PS3/PS4 games and at the moment that, and what most of the people I game online with are getting (the XB1 obvs), is what’s still pushing me towards the XB1.

If I can pre-order the above bundle or something similar then I will wait until the last minute to decide. I can see myself getting a second console in the future but long after launch, it’s really a case of what which I want in the more immediate future.

Plus, I know some of my mates in real life will definitely get the PS4 over the XB1, so it’s not like I won’t get a chance to play it. They mostly online play FIFA though so I’m lucky I have a good online crowd I game with too.

  37. Dragon246

Your choice obviously. I am just saying that if you aren’t really pressed to buy a console day one, you may just wait out a few months.
With the way things are going, MS may be forced to put a kinect less bundle sooner than later.

Plus, if you are interested in 3rd party stuff (like EA), maybe you should check out the graphic comparisons before putting down so much cash.

Doesn’t look like the FIFA promotion is doing X1 pre orders much good. Amazon still has PS4 waay up. Obviously its not a perfect indicator, but there aren’t any signs to point otherwise.

    #37 1 year ago
  38. viralshag

@Dragon, Be it PS4 or XB1, I really don’t think I’ll be able to hold out for a few months especially as I have at least one pre-ordered! :P

  39. Sylrissa

Ask not for a strong launch line up, but rather for constant strong releases, as you don’t want them to blow their load all at one time, and then be left with nothing afterward.

As Jim sterling said concerning console launch titles :)

And for my personal tastes the PS4 does seem to have the better list of games coming up during 2014

  40. Gekidami

FNAC were selling it with an extra 50€ in store credit if you’re signed up to their free FNAC games club, though they’ve sold out now. might come back at some point.

Amazon also has more simple bundles with Watch Dogs for 439:

Thats the game for only nearly 40€.

  41. pcbros

Nice bundle, you basically save $10 and get a free camera. But Sony’s camera has been kind of a mystery to me. Have they talked about how it’s different/better than the PS3 EyeToy? Does the PS4 support the PS Move?

I was kind of hoping to get a Wii U and a PS3. I was pretty sure Sony would drop the price in light of the PS4′s launch. If Sony can give me a PS3 with +250GB HDD, a game (Uncharted 3, Infamous 2 or GT6 would be nice) for $200… I’m sold :D

But I know that’s not going to happen for a while. Instead they have a 12GB PS3 with no extras for $200 :(

    #41 1 year ago
  42. Phoenixblight

“Does the PS4 support the PS Move?”

Yes PS4 will work with move.

Media Molecules game will be using Move along with the controller just like Little Big Planet did.

    #42 1 year ago
  43. pcbros

And as far as playing PS3 games, the rumor is it will be via streaming (Gaikai) or emulation?

There are three PS3 games I left behind when I sold my PS3… inFamous 2 , Uncharted 3 and Gran Turismo 6.

    Sometimes I lose sleep…

    #43 1 year ago
  44. Phoenixblight

Thats the rumor. Nothing is confirmed and Gaikai won’t be available until sometime after launch. So anyones guess atm.

Help please, probably a very silly question but recently widowed mum here who is thinking of getting PS4 for my daughter for Xmas, but i’ve not got a clue about these kinds of things – hubby used to deal with all this – anyway, am interested in this bundle but wanted to make sure it will definitely work over here if ordered from France – said it was a silly question but if someone could confirm, that would be good. Thank you.
