Borderlands 2 DLC announcement coming tomorrow, says Pitchford

Friday, 19th July 2013 10:29 GMT By Dave Cook

Borderlands 2 is getting a DLC announcement tomorrow, July 20 according to Gearbox president Randy Pitchford.

That’s Pitchford there, confirming the announcement to a fan on Twitter.

It’s not the first time Pitchford has hinted at a DLC announcement. Earlier this month we reported on quotes from the dev that suggested more content was inbound.

What would you like to see from the team?

Thanks MP1st.

    Hell fucking yes. One of the best games this generation.

    Sorry about your abysmal taste in gaming, the world is cruel to some.

    Say what you want about the game or Gearbox, but their support for Borderlands 2 and how they fill each new DLC with actual content (instead of skins, although there’s that too) is something other companies should take after. If they are looking to milk their franschise, do it right.

    @3 Seriously, bitter much?

    All of the Season Pass DLC was good to excellent. You got (4) 8-12 hour DLCs that provided a ton of new content, story, quests, locations, creature types, weapons, skill advancement and more. Additionally, you got a additional character in the Mechromancer AND the Ultimate Upgrade Pack that gave you 11 more levels, SDU upgrades, bank/storage upgrades and more.

    What were you expecting out of the Season Pass? A new game?

    Gearbox has provided in both Borderlands and Borderlands 2 more DLC content, support and feature upgrades for a longer period of post-launch time than any other developer in this generation. I challenge you to find a single developer who has supported their product with the sheer amount of additional content and such that Gearbox has produced for its fans (besides CD Projekt and the Witcher series, because no one can beat those guys…they do it all for free~).

    I’d be interested to see your profile, did you even bother playing them or do you just like to jump on the whine-train and complain because you have nothing better to do with your time?

    The latest DLC and final one of the Season Pass, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep might be one of the best DLC packs of all-time. I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t win DLC of the Year come the Spike VGA Awards.
