Halo 4 update buffs multiple weapons

343 Industries has issued a balancing update to Halo 4, with the result that multiplayer just got significantly more lethal.

Of the nine weapons and one vehicle affected by the rebalancing, eight - the Battle Rifle, Carbine, Assault Rifle, Storm Rifle, Suppressor, SAW, Magnum and Warthog - have had their damage upped, alongside changes to aiming reticules and spread.

If that weren't deadly enough, player movement speed has been upped by 10%, too, in all play modes.

The team has also made changes to match types, and moved weapon drop locations on various maps.

In a post on Halo Waypoint, 343 outlines these changes in detail. The developer is now running testing sessions in which the community play alongside staff to try out the altered weapon set.
