Battlefield 4 hits current-gen Oct 29, Xbox One & PS4 date pending

Battlefield 4 was announced for an October 29 release date last night for all formats, but EA has since clarified that the shooter will only hit current-gen formats from this date, and will hit PS4 and Xbox One at a later date.

Update:

Eurogamer was contacted by an EA spokesperson who said that the UK release date is November 1 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and added, "Battlefield 4 will also be available for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4," but could not give a solid date. This may suggest that the next-gen builds will drop later than expected.

We'll update again once we know more.

Original Story:

Battlefield 4 will release on October 29 and will be made available on Xbox One, EA has announced. The release date covers current-gen and PC, and those who pre-order will nab the China Rising Expansion Pack. Players will "fight for dominance across the vast and majestic Chinese mainland in four massive maps, using all-new vehicles and high-tech military equipment." Sounds lovely. Hit up the link for more and full artwork for the expansion is below.
