DICE: Frostbite 3 untested on Wii U due to disappointing Frostbite 2 tests

Frostbite 3 hasn't been tested on Wii U due to unsatisfactory tests of the Frostbite 2 engine.

The decision came after what DICE's technical director Johan Andersson has called "Tests with not too promising results".

Gamechup rightly suggests that given the volume of EA games using the Frostbite engine these days, this could result in several key titles skipping Nintendo's format - chiefly Battlefield 4, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition and the next Mass Effect title.

Andersson confirmed that the DICE-developed Star Wars game would run on Frostbite 3, so that's out too.
