The Star Trek reboot wouldn’t have been licensed for a game adaptation if the cast hadn’t agreed to participate in the project.
“We wanted to make a third-person game because we wanted you to be able to see and feel Kirk and Spock. We didn’t want you to see it through their eyes, because then you wouldn’t get the experience of seeing these amazing actors deliver their roles,” Paramount vice president Brian Miller said in a video interview, embedded below.
“And we weren’t going to make this game unless we had the cast. Not only did we have the cast, we have all the cast. We reached out to everyone early on.”
The Darkness 2 developer Digital Extremes is behind Star Trek, which releases on April 23 in North American and April 26 in Europe.
