Marvel Heroes trailer gives off an Ultimate Alliance vibe

If you’ve not seen Gazillion’s free-to-play MMO Marvel Heroes in action before, you may be surprised to see similarities with another popular licensed series based on the adventures of Iron Man, Spider-man, The Hulk and friends.

It all looks a bit Ultimate Alliance, doesn’t it? But as the trailer gleefully points out, the MMO contains randomised multiplayer battle zones (including dinosaurs) and costume customisation, and is entirely free-to-play. It hasn’t been dated, but is currently taking closed beta sign ups.

Thanks, EvilAvatar.

I so very much want to get in on the beta of this, oh so much. And the fact of the matter is is that they’re pressing the right buttons. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance was one of my favourite online experiences, a friend and I had an absolute blast with it. It and the sequel were just fantastic games. They really were.

    You couldn’t fault them.

And this looks like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3. And with more characters. And better graphics. AND ROCKET RACCOON. \o/

If they pull this off, it could make me very happy.

Edit: Oop, you posted this trailer before, guys. This was back when I freaked out over it having Rocket Raccoon the first time. Because Rocket Raccoon.

Diablo – like game, very similar gameplay…very repetative..oh, and at 20.00 per character (or 200.00 for all characters available at release.. you pay for any new ones still) this game most definately is not on the list of future games to play (oh, and you also must purchase any costume variations as well…. )
