Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer free to play this weekend on Steam
Activision are hosting a free weekend for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on Steam starting this Thursday.

The free weekend will kick off on Thursday, April 26 at 6pm GMT. The free weekend will grant all Steam users access to the multiplayer portion of the base game.
Gamers who wish to take part in the free weekend can begin pre-loading the game now.

how do you pre-load ze game? Its business as usual here. If i want to download it i have to buy the game?

@1, click the News tab within Steam, find the MW3 free weekend article and click the “click here to start preloading” link. Works for me.

I tried to play it last time it was available, but all I got was some cryptic localization error (said to be there since Blag Ops) that couldn’t be fixed without redownloading the whole game in English, so I passed.
I’m at last getting my copy of BF3 on Thursday though, so it’s a non-issue.
