Kinect Star Wars dance mode flashes “awesome” on Leia’s pants

Friday, 24th February 2012 10:11 GMT By Patrick Garratt

First video of Kinect Star Wars’ dance mode has emerged from a tenth anniversary Xbox event in Amsterdam. This is pretty much essential viewing.

The Galactic Dance Off mode, which was confirmed alongside an April 3 release date earlier this month, looks like Dance Central: you match moves to the beat and characters on-screen.

Jabba watches on. You are Leia, who despite being enslaved by a perverted, murderous space-slug manages to look coquettish as she parades her barely concealed backside in front of the camera.

You will she her wiggle. You will see her jiggle. You will see the words “awesome” and “great” emanate from her lady bits.

No lie. Watch From 3.40. Thanks, Robert.

It’s a good job no one ever took Star Wars seriously, isn’t it? What with all the adverts and now this, you’d thing George Lucas was just interested in the money.

All I can think is how much better everything shown (apart from the dancng) would be with a gamepad.

That actually looked pretty good for a while. Then the dancing bit started and I literally almost threw up. Any star wars fans do yourself a favour and stop watching at the pod race bit. You will regret watching any further, trust me.

I want to know what the hell went on in the minds of these programmers when they came up with this? What kind of star wars fan that likes lightsabring the arms and legs off evil sith lords also has a penchant for bullshit dance games? Hmm.

It’s funny how the whole Jedi schtick only works because no-one in their universe has been able to invent a fast firing blaster… Or long range sniper rifle…. Or a wide spread shotgun…. Nerve gas…. High explosives or some other lethal means to deal with a hippy and their glow sticks.

I don’t see what the problem is. It’s just a dancing minigame. Dancing *is* a part of the star wars universe, it’s practially a way of life for some Twil’lek.

@6, there were Repeaters in the Jedi Knight games, they were deflectable. Aside from that the Jedi have ultra high reflexes that enable them to avoid attacks they can’t deflect and freaky mind powers akin to Spider Sense that warn them when it’s coming.
