Uncharted series sells 13 million, says Sony

The Uncharted series as a whole has sold 13 million units, SCEA has said.

The figure was given by product marketing manager Asad Quizilbash in an interview with IndustryGamers.

Following a titleless reveal at E3 2006, the first Uncharted, Drake's Fortune, released on PS3 in November 2007.

Its sequel Among Thieves, which arrived in November 2009, propelled the series and developer Naughty Dog to never-before seen heights.

Followup Drake's Deception launched last month, selling 3.8 million units in its first day alone.

A spin-off, Golden Abyss, will launch as a launch title for PlayStation Vita on December 17 in Japan and February 22 in Europe.
