DICE to publish a “significant” update next week for BF3 PC
DICE has said it plans to publish a “significant” update to Battlefield 3 on PC next week. According to an official blog post on the matter, players will see “improved polish, stability, weapons balancing, squad control functionality, user interface enhancements,” and several other features which have been addressed due to feedback from the community. The “negative mouse acceleration” will also be removed as well.
The patch will be released on the console after it passes certification, so expect it sometime after the PC version is released.

Finally, the two most important things IMO: squad control and improved map balance.

Actually for me fixing the bugs with rebinding certain keys and mousewheel > EVERYTHING ELSE

What about the problem with inaccuracy of the mouse? http://getsatisfaction.com/battlefield3/topics/inaccurate_aiming_skipping_pixels_in_bf3_logitech_g700

@3 I have a G700 and have had zero problems aiming in BF3. Not about to sign up for whatever that stupid site is but the link makes it plain enough to see.

@5 You don’t need to signup you can log in with your Battlelog persona. Maybe you turned your sensitivity in BF3 way down? Anyway, try getting a rifle with a high powered scope (x7 or x20 or something like that), zoom in and try to see if you are able to acquire targets in a pixel precise manner. A lot of people have said that only in BF3 are they not able to do this. Both on the Logitech forums, Battlelog forums and official BF3 GetSatisfaction site. BF3 is littered with mouse problems anyway, including negative mouse acceleration in some extreme cases.

@2 – cant you rebind the keys then? If this is the case, this was someone people were crying out for during Alpha AND Beta.

“improved polish, stability, weapons balancing, squad control functionality, user interface enhancements”
All great, but what about the cheating? That shit needs to be addressed if people are going to be able to enjoy any of those improvements.
I think they should drop Punkbuster like a bad habit. The only thing that system ever brought to a game was false positives.
