Assassin’s Creed: Revelations reviews start hitting

Ubisoft’s lifted the embargo for reviews on Assassin’s Creed: Revelations’ reviews ahead of its launch tomorrow. Get all the scores below.

Scores so far have been looking alright, although Eurogamer’s gone live with a 7. You’ll remember it gave Brotherhood a 10 from last year.

Get all the latest below. If you have a link to add, you know the dance, kids.

I really think Ubi should stop annual milking of the series. First 2 games were rather mind blowing but Brotherhood was just DLC sold at full price.

@3 Apparently AC3 is due next year, and according to reports that will the last “annual” instalment of the franchise.

I think even Ubisoft realises that it needs to wrap up the main story threads by now. I get the impression that next year will close up Desmond’s chapter.

After that, we’ll probably move onto a new character, a new animus, and a new series of descendants. I for one would love to see a female lead character enter the franchise.

While Ezios final chapter is a fun romp through Istanbul, it could just have well been incorporated into Brotherhood with a bit of editing. The saving grace is the fleshed-out multiplayer modes and the interesting effects the bombs have on it. With a bit of luck the series will get back on track after the two latest interim-games, so fingers crossed that Assassin’s Creed III dares evolve the series as much as the second game did.

@7 Thanks for the info. If it’s true, then I at least hope AC3 can be a great new game instead of yearly rehashes that Ubi has been releasing.

This’ll be the first AC game I don’t get at release. Between Skyrim, Skyward Sword, Modern Warfare 3 and Kingdom of Amalur in February, there will be a few months before I run out of games to play. I’ll pick this up when it gets cheaper.

Ugh, shouldn’t have pre-ordered it. I attempted to cancel my pre-order this morning, but Amazon didn’t quite get my request. It might not be terrible, but I’m busy enough with Skyrim.

I kind of saw these reviews coming to be honest.

Milk Milk Milk………. They need to stop the AC every year thing…..
After Brotherhood, it should have been two years or more for a new game.

The reviews are what I expected…

That’s it, the franchise is getting tired, 8s and 7s all over the place. Time to give the franchise a break Ubisoft while you still can. Stop the milking already!

Still good enough for me, I really enjoy the Assassin games, except the original.

This is exactly what would have happened to MW3 if people were true about it… but I guess it’s just “too big to fail”…
