Uncharted 3: Drake Deception Collector’s Edition and pre-order bonuses detailed

Sony has handed over information on the Collector’s Edition of Uncharted 3 and has also detailed some of the various pre-order offers North American retailers will be handing out.

The Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Collector’s Edition will run you $99.99 and comes with: a Nathan Drake Statue from Sideshow Collectibles, Drake’s belt buckle, Drake’s ring/necklace, and a “Steelbook” game case in a Travelling Chest.

Regular editions of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will net you the following if you pre-order:

  • Best Buy – Regeneration Booster – Allows you to “boost your healing power to recover from your wounds more quickly.”
  • Amazon – Carpet Bomb Kickback – Allows you to “send out three grenades with a single throw to blanket your opponent – or take out a group of opponents – with multiple explosions”; Clip Size Mod for Para 9 or G-MAL – Allows you to increase the size of the bullet clip for your weapon of choice and “spend more time shooting your opponents before having to reload.”
  • GameStop – Creepy Crawler Kickback – Allows you to “turn into a swarm of deadly creatures for a limited time and overwhelm your enemies.”
  • Walmart – Callout Mod for AK-47 – Allows you to “equip your AK-47 with a laser sight that enables your entire team to see the location of the opponent you are currently targeting.”

So sick of these retailer exclusives. They don’t entice anyone who isn’t buying the game to do so, and the philosophy of “buy from the retailer who has the most exciting extras” is utter shite.

I hate retail exclusive pre-orders with a passion. Most of the time I can tolerate it but when it comes to games where the pre-orders are relevant to multiplayer I will rage. Case in point the exclusive guns announced for Battlefield 3.

Wonder if the collectors edition will apply for Europe, I hope so anyhow. Annoyed we didn’t get the Hero edition for Infamous 2. :/

Really? The stores in Norway only have the Special Edition up on their websites. :|

Will investigate further then, thanks for the intel.
