Alleged first glimpse of GTA V leaked online

When you have a franchise that’s doing as well as Grand Theft Auto, where gamers start slavering at the mere mention of a sequel, it’s inevitable that things like this pop up before the game’s even been announced.

I’m not passing judgement on whether this is or is not what it claims to be, I’m just letting you know that it claims to be our first glimpse at Grand Theft Auto 5, set on Hawaii. Make up your own mind – is this the real deal, or just a clever fake?

Thanks to German site PC Games for grabbing our attention on this one.

Well, that could be pretty much anything. :-D

It’s probably just crappy-cam footage of Just Cause 2 or TDU2 with a photoshopped title screen.

Haha. If this is real, I hope they consider buying a camera that was made in the last 20 years and film it on that, and maybe stop dancing around like a prat as well.

But because of the fact it’s ridiculously bad quality, I’m thinking this is a fake. Too easy to make to not be.

How can anyone believe this is real?

And what a coincidence that we have one more person who is apparently too stupid to hold and handle a camera.

I think calling it a “clever fake” might be giving it a lot more credit than it deserves…

I might film a really blurry video of me running around a field with a stick and claim GTA V’s set in Australia.

The way the camera moves is exactly the same as GTA IV, so it’s either a mod of IV (very easy to do), or the real thing.

I’m calling viral marketing on this.

Looks fake but I would like to take the opportunity to say Vice City was my favourite location for GTA.

next time, don’t get a spastic 5 yr old high on lemonade to record it on a webcam from the 1800s.

Fake as hell, it’s footage from GTA4, on the beach, and why Hawaii??

As Blerk said.

I think it’s TDU 2.

I know people like gta but did the guy filming it like it so much that he had to masturbate over it. It’s funny how these things are always blury and the camera is always shaking all over the place.

You guys can update your article: It’s fake. According to Scrawl, if you search “Hawaii sunsets” on Google,it will turn up the exact same picture as is used in the GTA V logo screen.

I’d be amazed if anyone actually fell for this. It’s not even a good attempt at faking a leak. It’s just embarrassing.

faking fakers are fucking idiots, that isn’t real its probably just a blurred out video of somebody playing just cause 2 very badly, though the idea of a gta game in hawaii ain’t such a bad idea also the idea of the next gta being bigger the GTA:SA ain’t bad idea either infact its a brilliant idea

It’s pathetically fake, shame on all the sites stooping so low as to post it.

Like @18 said, confirmed fake. Didn’t even need confirmation, IMO. Anything that’s this badly shot is obviously a fake. Concealing unconvincing footage with blur and shakiness only emphasizes the fact that they have something to hide, mainly the fact that it’s completely fake.

Plus, just look at where this is shot. Where is this? Why was this shown? Why is it shown in such a shitty TV? Answers, in order: In some losers’ basement with the lights turned off; to get 14 minutes of fame; because that’s the best TV this loser has.

The title screen relatively clear and then anything that could possibly back up the fact that it is real looks like it was put together on a spectrum and filmed by someone recording a snuff movie.

What a complete load of balls.
