Red Faction: Origins cast detailed

SyFy has revealed the cast for its upcoming telemovie adaptation of THQ's Red Faction franchise, and it's all cult favourite, all the time. Get set for familiar faces from Terminator 2: Judgment Day; Stargate Universe; Torchwood; Battlestar Galactica; and even The Tudors.

Gamefront reports that protagonist Alex Mason will be played by Robert Patrick, best known for inspiring phobias in an entire generation of young movie fans as Terminator 2's shape-shifting T-1000.

Brian J Smith will tackle Mason's son Jake. Smith played Matthew Scott in the ill-fated Stargate Universe series.

Other cast members include Torchwood's Ianto Jones, Gareth David-Lloyd; Battlestar Galactica's Kate Vernon; Dexter's Devon Graye; and Tamzin Merchant from The Tudors.

Red faction: Origins is expected to air on SyFy in May.
