Dead Space 2 gameplay to debut next week [UPDATE]

deadspace2boxart

Update: Here’s the box art for the game.

Original: Dead Space 2 hardcore, get pumped:a new formal gameplay clip of the horror will air next week on a pre-E3 GameTrailers TV special.

Here’s the scoop from host Geoff Keighley via a tweet:

“Another big game in our pre-e3 special next Fri – First real hd gameplay footage from Dead Space 2.”

Oh yeah. It’s E3 time. The big guns are coming out to play.

While the footage will certainly be new, it won’t be the first: an off-screen clip was shown during a panel on the game at PAX East back in late March.

Dead Space 2 releases next year for PS3, 360 and PC.

You should be paying close attention to GTTV in the run-up to E3 – the new Red Faction and the first gameplay footage of Crysis 2 air this week.

It’s so awesome that I’m going to go into complete information blackout on this game until the bastard launches. I already know that I need it. :) Can’t wait!!! Last one was one of my favourite gaming experiences of all time bar none.

Recently finally finished Dead Space on hard, man what a experience, definitely very scary and the atmosphere was just amazing. Love the whole dismemberment feature too.

And tomorrow the new Red Faction, i’m pumped!!!!!!

Definitely two GT TV episodes i will be looking forward to.

New Red Faction video tomorrow!? This is news to me!

Trailer fucking central! E3 wont have much left at this rate. I’m already giving DX3 game of the show though.

I hope they improve the damn story!

Dead Space 1 was a mixture of d00m3+RE4.
But the story was just TOO much like d00m 3! I can’t even finish the game, because I keep doing the same thing over and over again- objectives! No sense of story to the game. The story is too similar to d00m 3.

Let’s just hope DS2 will be good, because I am looking forward to the game

The back story was great but I can agree the actual game scenario (lets call it that) was kind of weak. The atmosphere made up for it in spades though.

Visceral Games’ Dead Space killed Resident Evil 5 on every level. I’m hoping they can do the same with Dead Space 2.

Agreed. Let’s just hope Capcom learned a lesson and can retake the crown with RE6…

@5,6 you don’t understand. That was the whole point with Dead Space story and it don’t need to be improved. They took cliche stuff from Sci-fi thrillers, horrors and movies. The point of Dead Space was to show you cliche stuff from movies in videogame and i think they did it perfectly.

OH yea! Quite surprising to see the difference really after all the hype for resi. Resi 5 was so disappointing :(
