Patch for StarCraft II Beta adds map editor, more

starcraftII4

Blizzard has released a new patch for the StarCraft II Beta, and even if you are not involved in the testing process, but are eager for the game, the patch notes should keep you up-to-date on the overall progress.

The patch added a map editor, which you are more than welcome to play with, but you are unable to publish your creations just yet. That lovely bit is being saved for your honeymoon night, or launch day, however you view it.

New achievements were also launched with the patch, along with the prerequisite bug fixes, balancing, changes, more.

Full notes are through the game's message boards, courtesy of Big Download.

Previews for the single-player mode of the game went live today, and Johnny has rounded 'em up for you through here.

Blizzard says the game's still on target for a mid-year release.
