2K’s put out the debut trailer for Civilization V. It’s after the break.

The movie shows some of the strategy game’s big campaign moments, including the building of the pyramids, the age of the Vikings and more.

Good stuff there. Give it a watch below, thanks to IGN.

The series’s creator, Sid Meier, is to give a keynote at GDC in a week-and-a-half.

It’s been confirmed that the game will be shown at a session on March 11 (thanks, GSW).

Civ V was announced last week. It’s due for release this fall.

Woah, this is a great trailer.

Now, more details on the new features of the game would be welcome.

I don’t ever want to learn how much of my life has been wasted playing Civilization. It’s been the same thing since the first one. “I’m just gonna have a peek” and then you wake up, shivering from low bloodsugar, a tongue coated with lint and a bladder that could blow up your entire torso, without knowing what time of day it is or who’s president.

And I’m pretty excited about the vikings in the trailer too. Maybe this time us northmen get a little love from the get-go, without having to wait until Firaxis opens a book.
