Molyneux talks co-op, dungeons, touching in Fable III

Peter Molyneux has said that in Fable 3 the co-op system will be more advanced than in Fable 2 by allowing your character to run around in your pal’s version of the world.
Speaking with 4 Guys 1UP Podcast, Molyneux touched on this a bit, and even mentioned your canine companion.
“I heard you all about co-op,” he told the fellas. “You want to have your own hero come into the world. Okay, fine, you can have that definitely.
“When you come into my world, you come in as your hero, with your dog, with all your unique weapons, self-crafted weapons. I heard you — you don’t wanna be tied to my camera, you wanna go off and do your own thing in my world.
“Fine, fair enough.”
But, since the series has always been about “consequences”, the co-op bit in Fable III will be no different.
“It means – careful who you invite in, ’cause they can screw the whole thing up, man!”, he added.
He even talked a bit about the new touch system and something that makes you believe that the world will be going beyond Albion.
“Yes you can use touch with your co-op partner,” said Molyneux. “Yes you can walk down the street hand-in-hand. Yes you can drag your co-op partner to your dungeon and see what happens. Absolutely.”
Wow. No words.
Thanks, Joystiq.

I’m hoping they’ve put a lot of work into co-op (not least giving us our own screens). It had the potential to be awesome…
…it was far from that.

I was going to mention something about the British stiff upper lip, but that sounds like a euphemism in the current time period of the future.

I’ve not seen him do that so I wouldn’t know. If you want to see him talk about Ico then watch the first Fable 3 dev diary. It was mentioned in one of the previous Fable 3 related news items but you must have missed it.
Edit – Actually, you commented on that one. I guess you didn’t look at the interview though. It’s here if you’re interested: http://uk.gamespot.com/events/microsoftx10/video.html?sid=6250382 and here’s the dev diary where he also mentions Ico: http://www.lionhead.com/Diaries/Default.aspx

Totally missed that interview good to know he respects it so much. If hes using games like that as an influence Fable 3 will turn out ok.

Oh noes. I get the feeling that videos will show up all over the internet of people dragging each other into dungeons and beating the living hell out of each other. However, it will make the “Prostitute” profession much more realistic! You can finally give your customer a hand/blow job! (/sadface)EDIT: Oh wait, I forgot no NATAL Support, right guys? Damn. EDIT DEUX: Wait, does this damned game have NATAL or not? I’m so confused!
