THQ Brian Farrell calls PS Motion Controller ARC

Wednesday, 3rd February 2010 22:28 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Holy Shit.

Looks like THQ CEO Brian Farrell just called Sony’s Motion Controller the PlayStation Arc.

Sources told VG247 last month that it was called the PlayStation Arc, and Farrell called it that twice in THQ’s Q3 2010 financial call tonight.

In the past couple of weeks, news that Sony had registered the domain name back in October surfaced , then Sony denied the name of the controller, and then delayed the peripheral into fall.

It was also revealed that the PS Arc would have at least 10 titles upon release.

We’ll contact Sony in the morning about this when folks get in the office.

I love the way that last paragraph is written… it makes it look like they denied it, registered the domain name and delayed it because VG247 posted about it being called Arc. :D

With this shit there is no surprise again. Oh yeah, great.

Err, I wouldn’t have been particularly impressed if Sony’s major surprise for E3 was the final name of their motion controller, Erthazus. I imagine they’ve something a bit more substantial to reveal like, I don’t know, actual games as opposed to the name of something that we already know exists.

@1 – Not meant to sound that way – just writing fast and throwing in facts :-)

I am updating all these THQ posts once the call ends. It’s just a lot for one person to do at once, and I am ROCKING IT!!!!!!!!

    :-D :-D :-D
