eurogamer, the hard nuts of the internet reviewers, personally i cant stand the site for 2 reason, 1 they never seem to get the news on games faster than here kotaku or anywehere and they hardly ever post on the weekends if ever. Also they are just flamebaiting with the comparisson things they do. That and they gave halo 3 a 10, no fucking way was it a 10 no way on earth is that the best game ever and the best it can ever get. Halo 1 is far better than Halo 3.

Well at least Eurogamer.de got it right, although I can’t read what they’ve written.

Well, how surprising! Pleasantly surprising, though. It really did seem completely ‘full of fail’ over the summer. Perhaps they need to revisit their marketing department in retrospect.

You guys should read the eurogamer review like i just did.
It’s an odd one, it’s like the reviewer was TRYING so hard to hate the game. every line reeks of pessamism.

Review scores are just an opinion – you’ve always got to remember that – but a fair number of recent EG reviews have had factual inaccuracies in them. That sort of stuff starts to make you question other aspects.

The PC gamer and PC Zone reviews are also up on metacritic. 94 and 93.
I read the PC gamer review and they are very complimentary about this game, looks and sounds epic.

From the GS review:
“On the flip side, the Xbox 360 version looks positively disappointing. Textures are highly compressed and colors are washed out, though the upside is that this version maintains a smoother frame rate than on the PlayStation 3, where things might get jittery when swiveling the camera around. The PlayStation 3 version features higher-quality textures than those on the Xbox 360, better color saturation, smoother facial animations, and shorter load times. Minor visual hiccups, like corpses that disappear and reappear, are a bit more common on the PS3, however.”

The Eurogamer review makes it sound appalling but 9 out of the 10 reviews on metacritic say its fantastic.

The EuroGamer one seems more honnest to me, they all mention the games faults (mainly its bugs) but only EG takes action and lets it affect the score.

This hasn’t been on my radar at all… maybe I should pick it up when it hits the bargain bin.

I got this game from a mom and pop gaming outlet over the weekend and I must say, it’s date. The micromanaging, gameplay, leveling and story all feel dated. Really, if the game wasn’t made by BioWare, there would be much lower scores.
