Obsidian: Alpha Protocol delay will allow for a “good coat of polish”
Worried that Alpha Protocol’s now official delay is Corporate-ese for “development troubles”? Well quit your blubbering; Obsidian’s Matthew Rorie says the delay’s simply about polish and visibility for the depressingly off-the-radar RPG.
“Just keep in mind that, in the end, this is going to help Alpha Protocol achieve the greatest success possible for it. The game is going to get a good coat of polish to it, and it’s also hopefully going to become more visible to the gaming community at large. So that’s a win-win for everyone. It sucks that it won’t be coming out for a while, but it’ll be awesome when it does,” he said on the official Obsidian forums.

Its funny how devs always like to make ‘adding polish’ sound like: “We’re making the game EVEN MORE AWESOME!!”. When really its probably: “The game isnt awesome according to QA and needs more work”.

I’ll wait for this like i’m waiting for Mass effect 2, bioshock 2 and all the other great games that have been delayed.
Because they’ll be AWESOME.

I can’t believe anyone’s really bummed about this delay. It definitely wasn’t on my ‘one to look out for list’. We’ll all be playing MW2, tekken 6 and dragon age well into next year anyway.

Some of us are bigs fans of RPG’s so when a quality title get’s delayed/is involved with SEGA in any capacity we get slightly disappointed.

If you 2 weeks before your game is relesed, finds out that your game now need at least another 6 months of polish, you are kind of stupid or bad at your york or your game really sucks.
Obsidian will problery be finished with Fallout:New Vegas in 2011-2012.

bobby I wont be ill be too busy with Demons Souls Borderlands to even care about a mediocre fps with a slim story that at most will last 6 hours but on topic i was planning on getting this day 1 I love RPGS obviously they didnt want to compete with the likes of Borderlands Demons Souls and Dragon Age which makes sense and now we have a good rpg for late next year
