Japanese 360 owners furious at PS3 Tales of Vesperia release, petition made
Oh no…
Japanese Xbox 360 owners have started a petition over arguments that they were test subjects in a 360 “beta release” of Tales of Vesperia: once a 360 exclusive, but now is coming to the PlayStation 3 in Japan very soon.
Some of the the demands of the petition, already signed by 550 out of a targeted 1,000, are:
“The games should not be dispersed across multiple platforms, they should be consolidated onto one platform [i.e. Xbox 360].
The games should be complete and properly made.
From now on, the porting of titles like Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Vesperia should be abolished.
An official apology should be made to Xbox 360 users for the abnormal number of additions made to Vesperia only a year after its Xbox 360 release.
That’ll be nothing compared to the PS3 fanboys lining up outside Square, when they announce FFXV as a 360 exclusive.
More at Sankaku Complex.

See, even in Japan 360 fanboys are apeshit insane!
I’m surprised you guys didnt report on this when the port was first announced though, you missed the chance to put up some pics of the game being broken and burned.

@Gekidami
When a Studio put money on developpement for a game, sorry but i think so…yu never see Demon’s Souls or WKC on 360 for exemple.

Okay, this thread’s getting almost as scary as the petition now.

So there’s going to be extra stuff in the PS3 version? DLC, methinks. If they’ve got any sense.

PS3 version has full voice acting and an extra character. Decent additions but hardly worth having a full-blown internet hissy fit over.

Actually Herlock i think you’ll find that some games do still go multiplat despite being published by one of the big 3 (well, mainly MS).
Bioshock was published by Microsoft on 360 still came to PS3, Ninja Gaiden 2 was also published by Microsoft next month its on PS3, Vampire Rain published by Microsoft out later on PS3. Hell, even Braid and Castle Crashers were published under Microsofts name on XBL but they’re still getting ported to PS3.

@Blerk No No I don’t think that it at all I think some of the Japanese are mad because the were tricked into buying the 360 when they should have been well aware that Sony would be getting JRPGS eventually , but they were not patient and fell into the trend, but on the other hand I do see why they are mad I get mad when the 360 keeps getting exclusive content like crazy!

Its not just a couple of small changes theres fucking loads the entire thing has been over-hauled. This is condensed list of the basics.
Loli pirate Patty Fleur has been added, and integrated into the story, movies and event scenes.
Flynn can be added to the party more frequently, and take the top slot and change skills.
The entire scenario is now fully voiced.
A large number of new skits have been added, apparently bringing the total to twice what was in the beta version.
With two new characters added the story has been adjusted.
Event camera work has been adjusted.
Event scenes can now be skipped.
Three new dungeons have been added along with an additional above ground area.
New bosses and giant monsters have been added.
New missions, events, secret missions and submissions are confirmed.
Party AI has been enhanced.
New ougi for each character have been added.
OVL gauge can now extend to 5 with unknown effects.
New skills have been added.
A total of 26 new attacks for the various characters have been added.
Bosses can be refought in a practice mode.
Arena party battles have been added.
Attack sounds are enhanced.
New items have been added.
Namco Island has more features.
Smaller gameplay changes too numerous to mention are also added.
New, sexier costumes have been added:

There is a Sony requirement that says PS3 ports of games already out on other platforms will only get approval if there is exclusive content added for the PS3. Hence Bioshock challenge Rooms, Ninja Gaiden extra characters and co-op, this, etc. This content will certainly not end up back in the 360 version, no matter how many fanboys sign petitions.

I don’t believe there was similar uproar when Namco released Eternal Sonata for the PS3.
So why this time round?
