iPhone Resident Evil 4 now available

After silently releasing and then vanishing under mysterious circumstances, Resident Evil 4′s iPhone iteration is here to stay.

If another shot at Leon Kennedy’s no good, very bad day sounds right up your alley, just head over to the iTunes store. The game’s going for $7.99.

It’s RE4, but portable. Now evil can reside anywhere. How can you resist?

Not exactly. It’s the mobile version of the game, which means it’s missing some features. Still though, first time RE4 Mobile has been released outside Japan! That’s something, right?

I think this one comes out for Nokia Symbian S60 smartphones with N-Gage service as well.

I’ve been playing this on and off this evening, according to the menu it’s got 12 levels. I just finished level 7 which was the hut under siege that you defend with Luis in the “full” console/PC version of RE4.

So it seems to me this game at best will have some castle levels or at worst will just have the village. In either case this thing is only 1/4 of RE4 rather than the whole thing. I’d steer clear unless Capcom promise to finish the rest of the game.
