Take a look at the improved vehicle sounds and physics in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds 1.1 test patch

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds' 1.0 test server patch not only brought vaulting and climbing animations, it also overhauled vehicle handling and sound effects.

The changes will be immediately noticeable to anyone who have been playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, but it's the updated characteristics of each vehicle that are worth pondering.

Reddit user Tex-Rob has helpfully captured clips of all vehicles, showcasing the changes in more detail for each one. Starting off with the buggy, you'll immediately notice the growling noise it makes, which is a lot louder and more distinct than it used to.

It also appears to have an easier time getting over sharp ramps, something the current version definitely isn't able to do.

The bikes, too, have seen an upgrade to their sound files. Handling appears to be the same, though it's less resistant to abrupt flips which is always nice. The bike with a side car is harder to drive, according to the player, but is otherwise unchanged.

All versions of the UAZ 4x4 have had their number of seats reduced to four. Like the rest, the sound appears crunchier and more present. It's hard to judge the updated handling from the footage, seeing as the UAZ was always the easiest to drive thanks to its superior suspension.

Finally, the Dacia may have seen the biggest upgrade. The car always had a very high speed, but struggled on mountains and hill climbs. Now, it appears to be much faster in those areas. Take a look:

The 1.0 patch should remain in testing for another day before it's pulled. This is just the first round, though, and it will return for another round later.
