Oddworld: Soulstorm pushed back to spring 2021

You probably expected this already, but yes, Oddworld: Soulstorm is not coming out this year.

Oddworld Inhabitants' long-in-development Oddworld: Soulstorm, which reemerged back in June with a new PS5 trailer, has been pushed back to the spring of next year.

The good news is that we got a fresh look at the game in a new trailer released at The Game Awards 2020 overnight.

Though the trailer itself is brief, it was followed up by a message from creator Lorne Lanning, in which he explained that the extra time was needed to bring the game up to the studio's high standards.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is the second canonical game in the planned Oddworld quintology. It is still a side-scrolling action-adventure, but expands on the genre and its own mechanics with a reactive world, crafting, an economy, and a strategy layer where you lead a band of Mudokon to safety.

The game is in development for PC, PS4 and PS5.
