If you thought the Days Gone demo at Sony's E3 2017 show was a bit short, you should watch this video

Let's face it, no one thought the Days Gone E3 2017 demo was going to end when that bear showed up.

Sony brought the upcoming Days Gone once again to this year's E3 showcase for another gameplay showcase. This year's demo was a lot more than a technical piece, showing honest-to-god gameplay and teasing some of the story. It looked decent, but many felt it was too short.

It's a good thing Bend Studio has more footage to the show, then. In the video above, developers at Sony Bend show off a different path into the demo we saw during the conference. This time, it's snowing, and the protagonist ends up taking a side road to his objective, which means he doesn't fall for the trap on the road.

The developers noted that weather conditions and the time of day affect the number of freakers and humans you'll encounter. For instance, the zombie wolves from the first demo are nowhere to be seen here. On the other hand, freakers appear in greater numbers in the cold.

Weather conditions also affect bike handling on roads, which is another nice touch. The video shows a few of the HUD elements as well, which were turned off for the initial demonstration.

Days Gone does not yet have a release date.
