First worldwide, fully dynamic conflict event hitting RIFT March 30

New content is heading to RIFT starting March 30, and Alsbeth the Discordant will be leading assaults all over the land in the game's first worldwide, fully dynamic conflict event.

Her boss, Regulos the Destroyer, is behind different zone invasions, providing players with and opportunity to participate in "world-changing invasions from the Plane of Death," giving Ascended heroes "a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of a key moment in the game’s history."

Fighting against Elsbeth's ugly minions will bet players hundreds of new items such as a spectral horse and "transmogrifying" disguises which turn the Ascended into zombies. Once the rift caused by the hordes are sealed - these unique items will be retired. So, get with it or miss out, basically.

A new raid zone called River of Souls will also be added with the update. Details below were pulled from the press release:

"If Ascended are successful in their efforts to drive back the invasions, they can journey to the 'River of Souls' 20-man raid zone at the edge of the Plane of Death where Alsbeth the Discordant is reanimating the recently departed and recruiting them into Regulos' army. Guardian and Defiant heroes will have to wade through these decaying hordes to reach Alsbeth and make her account for her abhorrent crimes."
