CCP has listened to players, promises many changes are in the works

Arnar Hrafn Gylfason, CCP's senior producer of EVE Online, has posted a brief, but important notice on the official site, which states that changes are coming to the MMO and these changes have a fan requested focus.

According to Gylfason, over "the past days and weeks," the firm has been conducting "extensive and intense introspection and revitalization."

What happened during this look through the proverbial microscope, is the firm has decided to refocus and reprioritize on a "scale unheard of," within the company.

"These are indeed defining times," he wrote. "We have decided, to focus our collective efforts on the areas you have asked us to focus on.

"We will reveal more over the coming weeks. As certain details are prone to change, we want to make sure we have absolutely concrete information to give you. You’ve often told us that we promise too much and deliver too little, and this time we want to be certain that doesn’t happen. We are listening to you, we have heard you, and plans are already in motion."

Gylfason said some of what to expect can be gleaned from Torfi Frans' most recent developer blog, which discusses a few fixes in the works such as ship spinning, reverting turret icons to use the original custom drawn icons, and more.

If you play EVE Online, you should read up on what both men had to say through the links.
