Watch some Rust extended gameplay footage on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X

Here's some extended gameplay footage of Rust running on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Competitive multiplayer survival game Rust is coming to consoles, and a new video has been released showing extended gameplay footage of it running on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.

The footage showcases a variety of options while in combat along with various loadouts you can create and how they will affect your approach to both group combat and one-to-one skirmishes.

If you are unfamiliar with Rust, the main goal of the game is to survive. To do so, you will need to keep an eye on your thirst, hunger, and the elements. You will create clothing and try to stay safe against hostile forces including other players, scientists, bears, wolves, and environmental hazards.

There are no rules, and the game does not tell you what to do. You are free to be "deceptive and aggressive" in PvP, raiding, and looting. But you can also team up with other players. You can build cabins in the woods and even scrap metal fortresses and craft weapons, bombs, and traps.

Since Rust's initial launch into Steam Early Access in 2013, millions of players have made it one of the most played games on Steam.

Development and publishing of Rust for PlayStation and Xbox is being developed by UK-based Double Eleven, independent from the original PC version’s developer and publisher Facepunch.

The game is coming to PS4 and Xbox One this spring.
