No microtransactions at launch for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2, cross-play teased

The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remasters will be complete packages at launch, but future content could introduce microtransactions.

The recently announced Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 remasters include all content in the original games, and all of it will be available to everyone at launch.

Things are less clear when it comes to post-launch content, however. Jen Oneal, head of developer Vicarious Visions told Gamespot that the remasters won't feature any microtransactions at launch, but that player demand for more content could change that in the future.

"Everything that you see at launch is going to be unlocked with gameplay. We're not planning on having monetization at launch," Oneal said.

Oneal also revealed that cross-play, something yet to be confirmed for the remasters, is not a far-fetched idea at all, telling Gamespot, "When the time comes we will say more," when asked about the possibility of cross-play being added post launch.

Activision recently confirmed the full track list for the games' soundtrack, and made it available to listen to online in its entirety.
