Ashly Burch won’t play Chloe in Life is Strange: Before the Storm, but will act as a consultant instead.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm was unveiled at Microsoft’s E3 press conference over the weekend.
The three instalments make up a prequel for the events in Life is Strange and it’s in development at Deck Nine games. The story will focus on Chloe Price and her relationship with Rachel Amber. You can watch the trailer here.
While the familiar face of Chloe might be making a return, her voice actor, Ashly Burch, won’t be.
Hey y'all, to the fans asking – I wasn't able to reprise my role as Chloe in Life is Strange: Before the Storm due to the SAG-AFTRA strike
— Ashly Burch (@ashly_burch) June 12, 2017
“I wasn’t able to reprise my role as Chloe in Life is Strange: Before the Storm due to the SAG-AFTRA strike,” she tweeted.
While that’s not the best news, Burch will on board in a consultant capacity.
“Chloe means a lot to me. Grateful for the opportunity to consult on her character.”
Meanwhile, Dontnod is beavering away on Life is Strange 2, so the sequel hasn’t been forgotten about.
