World of Warcraft Legion expansion release date set

Blizzard has announced that Legion, the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, will be released August 30. This is the sixth expansion for the MMO.

Legion picks up where Warlords of Draenor left off, as Gul'dan invades Azeroth with the help of the Burning Legion. All pre-orders get an instant level-100 character boost and early access to the Demon Hunter, the new class.

During this early access period, you'll be able to get your Demon Hunter to level 100, and get access to the starting area for the class on Mardum.

Legion will be available in a standard edition, as well as a digital deluxe edition. The standard edition is available digitally and in stores, with an option to upgrade to the digital deluxe.

The standard edition edition is priced $50/£35, while the digital deluxe is priced $70/£50. The deluxe includes an Illidari Felstalker mount and pet for World of Warcraft, a Felstalker mount for Heroes of the Storm, a helm transmog and wings for Diablo 3, and a pair of fel-infused StarCraft 2 portraits.

A collector's edition will also be available, priced $90/£65, and includes all bonuses from the digital deluxe edition along with a hardcover art book, a two-disc behind-the-scenes documentary, the soundtrack, and a mouse pad.
