The new Xbox One Elite controller is due on October 27, according to Microsoft’s online store.

That’s the same date as Halo 5: Guardians, which makes a lot of sense.

The controller, which is priced at $149.99, is aimed at players who take their gaming very seriously. It will feature swappable thumbsticks and D-Pads, interchangeable paddles to allow for less hand movement during play, extremely sensitive triggers and numerous customisation options.

Whether or not this will create a rift between the players who can afford to buy an expensive controller and those who can’t in-game remains to be seen, although there’s a good chance this controller will be big among professional players. The standard Xbox One controller retails for $59.99.
