Would you watch an Assassin’s Creed musical or ride a Far Cry rollercoaster?

Ubisoft has made a bunch of trademarks covering stage productions based on its most successful franchises.

Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs and Just Dance are the subjects of the trademarks, which cover a variety of live entertainment productions.

Among the possibilities covered by the trademarks dug up by DualShockers are:

  • continuing television programs and interactive television programs featuring comedy, drama, live-action, and animation, broadcast over television, satellite, audio, and video media
  • presentation of live stage show performances, presentation of live show performances by costumed characters, and presentation of live theatrical performances
  • production and distribution of motion pictures; arranging of contests
  • providing amusement park and theme park services
  • organizing, conducting and operating video game competitions and tournaments
  • providing entertainment and amusement center services, namely, interactive play areas
  • organization of exhibitions for cultural or educational purposes
  • on-line publications, namely, on-line magazines featuring information, news and commentary in the field of video games
  • arranging of contests
  • organizing, conducting and operating video game competitions and tournaments

Ubisoft is a company that covers its bases by making broad trademarks and as such none of these possibilities will ever necessarily eventuate, but can you imagine? Stabbing and singing in “Assassin’s Creed: The Musical”. Watch Dogs “laser tag” where you hack each other’s smartphones. Assassins gadding about theme parks. A Far Cry roller coaster. A Just Dance TV drama.

Okay, stretching it a bit there. Hooray for transmedia!

Thanks, DualShockers.
