Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer beta invites have started rolling out

Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer beta invites have started rolling out, according to Gamespot.

The site states that the open beta invitations are for a trial period that will reportedly start on August 7 and run through August 14.

Warner confirmed on Twitter that the invites are indeed being dished out.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, an email stating the following is being sent out and "no one is really sure why they got the email."

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment would like to invite you to participate in an exclusive early Beta test of the next chapter from the Batman Arkham saga. Experience the intensity and trademark gameplay of the Invisible Predator mode like never before…online and with friends!

Now is your chance to take down your friends as Batman, or for the first time hunt down Batman and Robin as one of Bane or Joker’s elite soldiers.

What will you get to do?

Play as both Batman and Robin.
Join and rank up as an Elite solider of Joker or Bane’s gang.
Customize your Elite’s loadout and look to suit your play style.
To turn the tide, bring in your leader and play as Joker or Bane.

When is this happening?

Batman: Arkham Origins Beta will be available from August 7, 2013 through August 14, 2013. We will be sending out updates periodically for organized play sessions.

The Batman: Arkham Origins Team

Yesterday, Warner announced that the multiplayer portion of Batman: Arkham Origins was in development at Splash Damage, and the mode would not be made available on Wii U.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be available for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, the handheld version developed by Armature Studio, will be available for 3DS and Vita.
