Dragon Age II demo available now – video, screens

The Dragon Age II demo is now available from Xbox Live Marketplace and PC, and it will release later today on PS3.

First game, Origins, came out in 2009 for PS3, 360 and PC.

An expansion, Awakening, followed in March 2010.

Was first announced last summer. First trailer shown at gamescom the next month.

The taster will enable you to play through the RPG’s prologue as Hawke in a choice of three different classes. After the demo is over, players will get access to “a key new location in the world of Dragon Age, Kirkwall, befriending Isabela, a romantic interest in the game who is also a deadly smuggler.”

What’s more, you’ll also have access to a new weapon: Hayder’s Razor, “an ancient dwarven blade which increases health, mana, and combat abilities, in the full release of Dragon Age II.”

The demo will release later today on PS3 in the US. It hits the European PSN tomorrow.

Dragon Age II releases on March 8 in the US and March 11 in Europe for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
