The latest Bulletstorm blog explains how People Can Fly has approached the eternal problem of endlessly identical enemies – by morphing one bald guy into hundreds of variations.
People Can Fly artists are using a paper-doll approach to enemy creation, building one generic character model and then accessorizing it.
Variables include hair style and colour; a number of discrete clothing sets; tattoos; face paint; skin tone; jewellery; piercings; and armour.
Additionally, enemy body shape and size can be tweaked, resulting in less of a cookie-cutter effect.
