APB beta content to be wiped

RealTime Worlds' Dave Jones has revealed that all content that has been created from the APB beta will be wiped from the full edition. Say goodbye to those custom-made cars.

Jones told TVGB that compatibility issues with older builds of the MMO was the main reason why for the deletion.

"Everything we have just now in Beta, we really have to wipe. I mean, it’s an online game and there was a lot of stuff that was created in older systems," he said.

"The whole point of beta is to test everything and get everything ready. Just like every other online game, really. Y’know we have to wipe what has been done.

"I know it’s probably not what you want to hear, but believe me it’s for the best," he further added.

Say goodbye to those lovely things you worked so hard on.

APB releases at the end of this month in the US for PC, with a July 2 release in the UK.
