Capcom has said Street Fighter x Tekken will be released in the fall on Vita, and when it hits, it will contain 12 additional characters. The additional characters from the Street Fighter series are: Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy and Sakura, and the additional Tekken characters are: Alisa, Bryan, Christie, Jack, Lars and Lei. Street Fighter x Tekken releases March 6 in the US and March 9 in Europe on PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC version is due in May. Thanks, Andriasang.

Capcom has revealed a few more details of its Street Fighter X Tekken reality show, Cross Assault, now that sign-ups have closed. The show kicks off on February 22 and ends on February 28, and will be aired on a dedicated Capcom Unity minisite. Cross Assault ropes in fighting champs Alex Valle and Aris Bakhtanians to guide a group of ten hopefuls to possible fighter stardom. Capcom’s announced it’ll release the Ver 2012 update for Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition from February 21 on PS3 and 360. The free update will balance gameplay and remove any bugs and glitches. The arcade version wil get the update on February 14. Once more, producer Tomoaki Ayano has said on Unity that Street Fighter x Tekken has now gone Gold. He celebrated the news by teasing a new character, showing a screen featuring the outline of what appears to Bison. SFxTK launches in March for PS3 and 360.

Andriasang‘s posted a 15 minute video of Street Fighter x Tekken being played for the first time by Daigo ‘The Beast’ Umehara. The multiple-times EVO champ on Street Fighter IV and subsequent versions has a look at the menus and a few matches in the clip, which is the first of four to come. Get it below.

Capcom’s announced details of a brand new, online-only reality show based around Street Fighter x Tekken. Made in collaboration with IPlayWinner and Team Spooky, Cross Assault will see ten players will fight it out amongst each other to try and win $25,000, with the ten split into two teams of five each representing Street Fighter and Tekken respectively. Everything from training, team challenges, matches, player interviews and more. Unity has more details.

Capcom has released a new set of Street Fighter X Tekken screenshots, artwork and videos for your consideration. Posted below the break, you will find a gallery with images featuring Balrog, Juri and Vega from the Street Fighter series, along with Paul, Law and Xiaoyu from the Tekken franchise. Be sure to check out the videos below as well, as there are a couple surprises for you: Mega Man and Pacman. SFxT releases on PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America on March 6 and on March 9 in Europe. Street Fighter x Tekken has gone female-heavy, with the latest trailer showing SF’s Chun-Li and Cammy going up against Tekken’s Asuka and Lili going against each other on a container and in a docks in a cinematic.
