Beyond: Two Souls bootleg footage for upcoming Tribeca Film Festival appearance
Beyond: Two Souls is the very first PlayStation exclusive to be screened at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival. Some footage has emerged showing Ellen Page’s character in a challenging situation, but more importantly shows what to expect visually, with part of the video hinted as gameplay.
Thanks to GameInformer, who have the bootleg video available for viewing.
The game, being developed by Quantic Dream which also made Heavy Rain, is said to have psychological, spiritual and thriller elements and explores what happens after death. It also stars Willem Dafoe and will be out on October 8, exclusively on PlayStation 3.

Beyond: Two Souls script is 2,000 pages long
An image has turned up purportedly showing the 2,000 page script for Beyond: Two Souls; EGM is one of a number of outlets that received a copy, although it’s totally blank. It doesn’t look like the kind of thing you should read in bed, for fear of concussion if you drop it on your face. Page count isn’t a very good measure of how long a complex a game is, unfortunately; word count is a bit better. We know Dishonored had 40,000 words of text and 90,000 of dialogue, for example; a short novel is about 40,000 words. Beyond: Two Souls is due exclusively on PlayStation 3 in October.
Thanks, manamana, Jessi.

Beyond: Two Souls chosen for Tribeca Film Festival
Beyond: Two Souls has been chosen as an Official Selection by Tribeca Film Festival. Sony will host a Tribeca screening on April 27 with a new one-hour scene; a major trailer; a behind the scenes look; and a Q&A panel with Ellen Page and David Cage. The session will be live-streamed, with timing to be announced in the near future. Despite claims to the contrary on the PlayStation Blog, it’s actually the second game to be so honoured, after LA Noire. According to Pat’s recent hands-on preview, Beyond is much more of a game than Heavy Rain, which trod the interactive movie line very closely – but it also made him cry, which sounds like film festival fare to me. It’s due exclusively on PlayStation 3 in October.
