Hitman release date announced along with additional content details

Hitman was recently delayed by IO Interactive into March 2016. Now we know exactly when in March it will be released.

Last week, the developer said it delayed the game due to its size and scope. It will now be released on March 11.

At release, it will include three locations and six campaign missions in Paris, Marrakesh and Sapienza with approximately 800 targets to off in Contract mode.

There will also be new Contracts released weekly "promoted" creations from the community and targets which need to be taken care of within a particualr time-limit.

A new sandbox location will be released every month from April - June, each with new weapons, missions, disguises, Contracts and more.

Thailand will be added in April, the US in May and players will venture to Japan in June.

According to the infographic below, those who pay $59.99 will be handed beta (PC, PS4) access, and all launch content as well as all future content.

Alternatively, players can purchase an introduction pack which includes the March 11 content for $34.99. Players can purchase an upgrade for the rest of the content at a later date if they wish for $29.99.
