Bloodborne Forbidden Woods progression bug caused by multiplayer summon

A progression bug in Bloodborne is in the works, according to Sony and From Software.

The issue occurs when players activate a multiplayer session in the Forbidden Woods using the Sinister Resonant Bell or Small Resonant Bell.

It also appears the Lunarium Key won't appear because of the multiplayer bug, and without the key you cannot visit a certain area or character.

We haven't included the NPC or locations to avoid potential spoilers.

Until a hotfix is issued in version 1.02 - which releases next week - don't initiate multiplayer in the Forbidden Woods.

The next update will not include load time improvements and other performance optimizations as originally planned, but Sony told Polygon a patch addressing those issues will be released separately.
