SOMA beta expected in four weeks, dev says slots are already filled

Frictional Games has said a SOMA beta should be ready to go in approximately four weeks time; however, all slots for the tester seem to be filled.

Those who have signed up already will be able to test the horror title within said four weeks if "all goes according to plan," the developer said on Facebook.

"If all goes according to plan the beta for SOMA, our upcoming sci-fi horror game, will be done in four weeks,"reads the post. "It feels both exciting and scary that the game is really nearly completed now.

"After several years of hard work, release is finally a clearly visible milestone. Note that we already have all the testers we need, so no need to make requests.

"Game is still incomplete so just hang in there a little longer, and you'll get the polished and proper version to immerse yourself in."

Frictional announced last month the game was close to being playable and that the tester would be conducted on both PC and PlayStation 4.

SOMA was announced as the next project from the Amnesia: The Dark Descent developer back in 2013 and is slated for release this year.
