Free-to-play AirMech Arena is heading to PS4 and Xbox One this spring

AirMech Arena from Carbon Games is headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Ubisoft has announced.

The competitive real-time action strategy title will be free-to-play on PSN and Xbox Live this spring.

It supports single-player, multiplayer cooperative and multiplayer competitive gameplay for teams of up to four players.

Players can also participate in ranked matches, or spar for practice in unranked mode.

In multiplayer, teammates will need to "simultaneously manage resources and protect their bases while attempting to capture their opponent’s territory and defend against the opposition."

The game also supports a spectator mode.

It was released last spring on Xbox 360 after a previous release on PC.
