You won’t believe the non-difference between these Minecraft current-gen screens

A couple of Minecraft screenshots have emerged that compare the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One editions with the last-gen offering. There’s… not a lot of difference.

The difference seems to be a slightly better draw distance, the power of the new consoles able to show more voxels on screen at once. Minecraft can only look so pretty, right? Here’s an Xbox comparison:

This reveal follows the news last week that the current-gen editions will feature a world 36x bigger than the old-gen versions. So it’s still quite a bit smaller than the game on PC, but nothing to sniff at.

Yeah, that “Save File” limitation is nothing but bullshit. No fucking reason it couldn’t have been a direct port of the PC version.

If they could have made the console version as good as the PC version they would have.

What they should do is put some officially made shaders on the store (for sale ofcourse) just to show how good they can actually make Minecraft look on the consoles and give people some more choice. Vanilla Minecraft looks like shit on every platform once you have used a decent shader.
